Policijos pirminiais duomenimis, rugsėjo 2-ąją Dubijos gatve važiavęs vaikinas nutarė įspėti paskui motociklu važiuojantį draugą apie gatvėje stovintį trikojį greičio matuoklį ir to užteko, kad motociklininkas prarastų vairavimo kontrolę ir trenktųsi į kelkraštyje stovėjusią sunkiasvorę transporto priemonę. Vaikinas buvo su apsauginiu šalmu, tačiau smūgis buvo lemtingas.
Kaip informavo Šiaulių apskrities policija, atvykę medikai bandė jaunuolį reanimuoti įvykio vietoje, tačiau pastangos rezultatų nedavė ir buvo konstatuota jo mirtis. Vaikinas vairuotojo pažymėjimą buvo įgijęs prieš metus, deja, patirčiai įgyti - tai mažas laiko tarpas.
